Dr Thomson works as an NHS General Practitioner in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
He qualified from St Andrews and Manchester Universities and hold dual degrees from both Universities. He was admitted onto the medical register of the General Medical Council in 1979.
He holds the Family Planning Certificate (now the DFFP) and has been a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners since passing the exam in 1983. (23298)
He has worked as a GP since 1982, and has increasingly incorporated homoeopathic elements into his day-to-day NHS work.
He passed the Membership of the Faculty of Homeopathy in 1993.
In 2006 he was awarded the Diploma as a Practitioner in Neurolinguistic Programming. He teaches medical students in years 3, 4,and 5 from Keele University and the GP registrars attached to the practice.
